Payne e Faleiros: dois olhares para o Serviço Social / Payne and Faleiros: two looks for Social Work

Resumo: O texto recupera as linhas básicas do pensamento de Malcom Payne e Vicente Faleiros sobre os fundamentos do Serviço Social. Nesse caminho, enfatiza as diferenças entre as tradições que representam, aborda a forma como trabalham o universo teórico da profissão, as forças responsáveis por sua origem e desenvolvimento, bem como concebem o objeto e o concurso da atuação dos assistentes sociais.

Abstract: The paper recovers the basic lines of thought of Malcom Payne and Vicente Faleiros on the foundations of Social Work. In this way, it emphasizes the differences between the traditions they represent, it also addresses how the theoretical universe of the profession works, the forces responsible for its origin and development, as well as conceiving of the object and the contest of the action two social workers.

Serviço social e instituições participativas: apontamentos sobre a atuação profissional no apoio ao controle social / Social work and participatory institutions: presentation on professional activities in support of public control

O artigo busca ampliar a compreensão das bases de intervenção do Serviço Social nas instâncias de suporte ao controle social, a partir de indicações teórico-interventivas. Neste caminho é trabalhado o problema da mobilização social e da organização, a partir do debate nas ciências sociais e na profissão. Ao cabo, são realizadas algumas considerações práticas sobre o trabalho profissional nas instituições participativas.

The document seeks to widen the understanding the Social Work's bases of intervention in instances of support to social control, based on theoretical and practical indications. Problems related to social mobilization in social sciences and in profession are elaborated. In the end, some considerations for intervention are made about professional work in the participatory spaces.

O pensamento de Jeannine Verdès-Leroux e o Serviço Social: um resgate crítico / The thinking of Jeannine Verdès-Leroux and the Social Work: a critical rescue

Resumo: O texto recupera o estudo de Jeannine Verdès-Leroux sobre o trabalho social e o Serviço Social francês. Nesse sentido, trabalha os conceitos centrais da sociologia de Pierre Bourdieu - principal influência para o desenvolvimento das ideias da autora. A partir disto, são avaliadas as indicações de Verdès-Leroux acerca do trabalho social e do Serviço Social como dispositivos de controle e violência simbólica.

Abstract: The paper recovers the study of Jeannine Verdès-Leroux about the French Social Work and Social Service, at the traditional professional context. Approaches the central concepts of sociology of Pierre Bourdieu (but not exhaustively) - main methodological influence on the above author. Thereby are evaluated the Verdès-Leroux indications that address the social service as coherent control system and symbolic violence.
